VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN NOW!
Would you like to be involved with DashCon 2? Are you a local who didn’t manage to snag tickets? Do you want to keep vigil over the ball pit? The best way to get involve with the in-person DashCon 2 convention is to volunteer! Our convention relies on volunteer staff to keep everything running smoothly, and there’s plenty of work to go around.
All regular volunteers will be assigned to at least one 4-hour shift between 7 AM and 11:30 PM on July 5th, 2025. This shift includes one 15 minute break, which will be taken at the Volunteer and their Team Leader’s discretion. Volunteers must work for at least 4 hours to recieve a ticket for the convention.
Successful applicants will be required to sign a waiver to volunteer for the convention. Applicants who are under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver.
FAQs
Can I still volunteer if I’m under 18?
Yes. In accordance with Ontario law, all volunteers must be at least 14 years of age by 1 July, 2025. However, volunteers under 18 will have to have legal guardian sign their volunteer waiver.
What about virtual DashCon 2 Volunteer Applications?

Do I get to choose what time I’m scheduled for?
While we’ll do our best to accommodate applicant’s schedules and preferences, we cannot guarantee any specifics at this time. This means you start as early as 7 AM, or end as late as 11:30PM (but not both). You will be assigned to a specific shift at least one month before the convention, and you will be in charge of communicating any conflicts with our team.
Do I get to choose my volunteer position?
Volunteer applicants will be asked to select any positions that interest them in their application. Applicants will be assigned to one of their preferred positions. Exceptions may be made is special cases, such as to meet accessibility needs.
Does volunteering for DashCon 2 count towards my 40 hour high school community service requirement?
We’ll be happy to sign your hours sheet, or otherwise vouch for you if you’ve completed your shift, but it is up to individual students to communicate with their school to find out if volunteering at DashCon 2 counts towards your hours.
Can I sign up to volunteer if I live outside the GTA?
While we will prioritize GTA applicants, we have enough volunteer positions to be open to anyone who wants to apply! Please know that anyone who volunteers may be scheduled to work as early as 7AM, or as late as 11:30 PM, so we recommend that you arrange your accommodations accordingly
