Introducing: DashCon 2
DashCon Two is a tongue-in-cheek arts and internet culture fan convention based in Toronto. We’re a genuine parody of the infamous 2014 DashCon convention and we’re hoping to avoid their mistakes by establishing strong ties within our local community. Our team is genuinely passionate about bringing people together, and we’ve dedicated ourselves to seeing this shitpost through to the end.
Considering the baggage that a name like DashCon carries, we understand that many people likely have reservations about our project. Because we’re committed to earning your trust, we’re committed to maintaining transparency throughout our organization. We want to keep you informed about where we’re at, and where we’re going.
We plan to host DashCon Two as a one-day event in early July 2025 (EDIT 15/10/2024, a more specific date used to be listed, but recent events have shifted our plans!) We’re currently in talks with a venue in the downtown Toronto area, and we have no plans to partner with a hotel. We do, however, plan to feature a variety of programming such as panels, an artist’s alley/vendor’s hall, live musical/drag performances, and, of course, a ball pit (or two!).
We have a lot to announce and even more to set up in the coming weeks. We’ve put a lot of time and energy into this project, and we can’t wait to share it all with you. So stay tuned for the announcement of our mascots, merch, and maybe even a few special guests! In the meantime, we’d really appreciate it if you could take a moment to complete a quick survey for us. Filling out the survey allows you to enter our raffle for exclusive ball pit-themed merch! We’re hoping to start reaching out to more sponsors soon, and having hard numbers from this survey will do a lot to help us build momentum on that front.
Have a good one!
